Introduction
The DRH DESIGN AWARD was started to show my appreciation for individuals or groups that exhibit creativity in a certain media or in multiple avenues. It is not used to increase site traffic, but to signify a web designers commitment to constructing a site that is conscience of the Internet and its' users. Web sites that receive the DRH Design Award have not only met basic design requirements, but have then separated themselves from the rest of the Internet community and excelled in certain or in all of the designated categories. Good design is generated from exceeding the restrictions, requirements, and limitations that are present in all projects. These do not hinder a designer, but are incorporated and redefined in a well-conceived design. All applicants are evaluated and recommendations are made based on the sites overall DESIGN, CONTENT, FUNCTIONALITY, and APPEAL. Each category contains a certain number of points that, when totaled, will dictate which award your site will receive. The review process is subjective, because design is that way. It is a very personal statement that reflects an individual's entire persona. By applying, you will open yourself and your site up to criticism and/or rejection, but if your site is successful, it will be part of a select few on the Internet that have earned the DRH Design Award.
